The idea for our journey was born from a true passion for adventure in the purist style. Antarctica is considered the driest, coldest, and windiest continent on the planet. Our goal is to be a part of this challenging and amazing landscape. To live simply in the snow, wind, sun, and never ending white horizon. The overall project is unique as we plan to ski without the use of assistance such as kites, dog teams, or supply drops. Our plan is to ski from Berkner Island to the South Pole, a distance of 1,350 km (838 miles) over a period of 50 days. |
